Because Kevin Hassett and Scott Bessent think it's terrific that American spending with credit cards is "going through the roof..." on things like petrol, food, and daily necessities. Oh, and because Todd Blanche thinks automatic weapons of war should not be banned for civilian use. And yes, because taxpayers should pay $1 B (USD) for a ballroom.
