@LegendofPeza I was wondering how the rebels are going to respond to Israel's occupation of Golan Heights. Surely, they are not going to allow israel to keep their land without a fight. Erdogan considers Syria a protectorate of Turkey.

Because they can't see beyond the end of their nose and believe that the only way to deal with Arabs is through military might. A regional detente which would actually make the State of Israel safer is seemingly of no interest to them.

@EarthlingWise He's now considered a national hero in the US. The guy wouldn’t even agree to an interview unless CNN's Jomana Karadsheh covered her head. I checked out Assad's interviews with women, and there was no head covering required.

You have just had HTS say to Israel ; ' Hello, we don’t want to wage war with you, you helped us a lot with Hezbollah and we are grateful for that; we don’t mind peace and we will finish the job with Hezbollah.'
And Israel's response is to annex more Syrian territory and bomb anything and everything they can. There is literally no-one who thinks that is a sensible reaction or that it will do anything to help stabilise a post-Assad Syria.

It's opportunism on Netanyahu's part and more madness from Smotrich , who said while in Paris in 2023 , that a 'Greater Israel' (as foretold in scripture ,lol) should reach as far as Damascus.
