Of course. I was working in an office...the woman in the cube behind me said "Oh my God, a plane just flew into the World Trade Center..."
We all went online and looked at the news footage and started to discuss it...I wonder what happened....that's awful...hope people are ok...
Then the second plane hit. And you could feel the change.
We all knew what it was. We all knew we were under attack.
It got crazy then...all sorts of weird rumors...the state department had been hit by a bomb...there were a dozen more planes out there they lost contact with...
We all watched in horror as first a plane hit the Pentagon...then the first tower fell...then the second....
I couldn't get my girlfriend(and now wife) on the phone because the phone lines were jammed.
I finally got her on the phone and told her to leave her office building...she worked in downtown Philly right across from Liberty place...which were 2 identical skyscrapers in Philly...
We met at home and embraced. Spent the day watching it unfold on the news...awful awful day....
