I might have seen it on TV when it happened, but I was too young to understand it. I remember sitting around at home with my Mom, asking her what was going on, and her just telling me it was nothing. I could tell she was distressed, but I didn't press further.

People should never lie to their children about anything.

Sure, the attack was horrible and thousands of people were killed. But such events happen all of the time. You wake up and think that you will have a normal, uneventful day, and then you are in a car wreck or some crazy person shots or stabs you to death as you walk down the street. Sometimes we are just in the wrong place at the wrong time but that is life and it happens to all of us.

@Diotrephes I would've been ~2 years old. Come to think of it, it almost had to have been a memorial or something, or I wouldn't have been able to remember it.
