First grade. All the teachers got a call from the office to turn off all the TVs in the classrooms. My teacher turned ours on. We all watched the second plane crash into the second tower.

My dad, then as now, traveled for work and was away. I thought we'd never see him again when all the planes were grounded.

After a bit he did get home... My six year old mind had it like years before I saw him again... It was probably days, idk. 🤷‍♀

It was awful..
