Our oldest boy

So picked up the kids from Grandma's house. They didn't have school today. Tiny tornado did his usual routine and ran to his room first to check on the hamster and to say hi to all his favorite toys. My oldest boy walked in the kitchen and noticed my buddy. He was upset he had a hard day at therapy and he had just gotten home as well.

Our oldest boy asked him Uncle did the doctors make you sad today

My buddy said yeah they did big man I'll be okay.

Well I know something that will make you happy. He turns around and shows my buddy that he is wearing his AFO'S

I wore them all day at Grandma's house.

Oh wow big man I'm so proud of you

I get to play Mario golf. My reward! Will you play with me. You can be Mario

My buddy wipes his face and takes a deep breath. I would love to big man.

This oldest boy of mine!

Your oldest is showing his true self, love and empathy for others.
Well done.
It is really great to see him now used to wearing his supports.
Tiny Tornado has played a huge roll in his acceptance.
You have three great children under your roof. (plus Sir Pasquatch the 3rd)
How long will the supports need to be worn?

@Gusman it really hard to say it could be 6 months to a few years. Depends on how much he wares them and how pt goes.

@Cigarguy Well, he is wearing them more and more, so I would hazard a guess, inside 12 months.
Here's hoping.
