I've been playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword since it's the earliest Zelda game chronologically and Tears of the Kingdom has sky islands, too.

So I want to beat Skyward Sword before playing Tears of the Kingdom and I'm currently a bit over half way. But I kept hearing about how amazing TotK is, which made me want to play Breath of the Wild. So I booted that up for the first time in ages and it wasn't long before I got to wondering... why did I stop playing this?

I stopped playing for 2 main reasons:
-having a console is really inconvenient
-I'm too cheap to buy a Nintendo

I will still always have a special place in my heart for Zelda tho

@Fishy Why is having a console inconvenient? Especially the Switch since you can put and use it anywhere.

@Redstar The older consoles that you need a tv for are inconvenient because I don't have a lot of space,

and the Switch (and the games) is too expensive 😂

I basically only play games on my pc or phone these days
and those sales on Steam are 👌

@Fishy Ah, fair enough then.

They really are too expensive. Breath of the Wild came out, what, 7 years ago? And it's not much cheaper than Tears of the Kingdom.
I only bought my Switch after one of the rare times that I had more money than usual.

Oh yeah, the sales on steam are fantastic. I don't use my computer for gaming much though, mostly just Visual Novels or little games like Helltaker. Always preferred a controller over a mouse and keyboard, unless it's something like Age of Empires of course.

@Redstar Yeah, I always preferred the controller too

Most games on Steam nowadays have controller support with USB controllers, which is pretty cool

@Fishy Yeah, I've done that a bit with older games. So it's not exclusively the not wanting to use a mouse thing, I guess that's just carried over from before you could commonly use controllers.
I feel more comfortable playing on a console, cause I can sit and play while still having total access to the computer without having to alt+tab.
But my laptop isn't good enough to play a lot of newer games anyway. Or it will run them but they're still not really playable, regardless of how low the settings are.
