Very nicely said. I happen to think my son is a very thoughtful, caring humorous young man. I know. Im his mom. I have to think that lol but everyone who meets tells me what a great job I did raising him. So. I guess if i did anything right. It was raising a son who cares about people

I look at it differently, I suppose. "Not needing" only means not so desperate that one feels less than when not part of a couple. It definitely doesn’t mean I don’t love and cherish men.

I think it’s possible to not "need" men in the abstract: you’re still going to get jars opened, bills paid, bugs killed, while needing specific and special men (fathers, brothers, friends, boyfriends, husbands, sons) very much. 🙂
