Why is gaming such a big thing these days?

I don't totally get the appeal. I'd rather do something more productive or something I would at least benefit from.

Games aren't like pacman and stuff anymore,any are like choose your adventure books, combined with movies. They're nearly photorealistic these days too.

The game I'm playing now is a hyper realistic horror and is more frightening than most movies I've seen.

@basilfawlty89 Yeah I noticed that. I guess that could appeal to some people, still doesn't seem like a strong enough reason to me tho especially considering how time consuming they are.

@basilfawlty89 Title?

I'm not really big on horrors (I just played a few but it's totally not my genre, I can't get myself to commit to finish them.. although lately I have this problem with pretty much everything), but since I have a cousin who was shìt scared from playing the first Amnesia I can always give out a little recommendation 🫠

@Elessar Layer of Fear 2023. It's a remaster of the original and sequel with two brand new stories and us vastly expanded. Plus it's UE5 and has raytracing so it's very realistic.
