If i were to invest in a gaming system what would folk recommend ?

Waaay back in the day i had a Sega Megadrive that was pretty decent but my children hogged it and eventually wore it out.

I've bought them other consoles since (Nintendo/Sega Saturn....something else that had a unit you had to connect to it via the cartridge slot 🤷🏼/X-Box/Playstations (numerous versions) but never got anything for myself 🙃

I had a thing at one time for the 'Strike' games (Desert Strike/Jungle Strike/Urban Strike etc) and also the 3D Puzzle stuff Kulaworld etc. and wonder at how all that might have been updated and enhanced since my playing days.

So if i were looking at buying an up to date system, what would folk recommend ?

@mysteryespresso you can play almost any game on a pc through emulation. Not to mention the massive library that exists for it. I'm not sure how a console is better value for the money considering pc is also extremely customizable. This is coming from a huge Playstation and Nintendo fan. I just don't see where they beat PC.
