If i were to invest in a gaming system what would folk recommend ?

Waaay back in the day i had a Sega Megadrive that was pretty decent but my children hogged it and eventually wore it out.

I've bought them other consoles since (Nintendo/Sega Saturn....something else that had a unit you had to connect to it via the cartridge slot 🤷🏼/X-Box/Playstations (numerous versions) but never got anything for myself 🙃

I had a thing at one time for the 'Strike' games (Desert Strike/Jungle Strike/Urban Strike etc) and also the 3D Puzzle stuff Kulaworld etc. and wonder at how all that might have been updated and enhanced since my playing days.

So if i were looking at buying an up to date system, what would folk recommend ?

I suppose it depends on the games you want to play. This is what I do:

Get a new console I can play the newest games on. A mid level PC that only needs to run older games I enjoy playing

@caPnAhab ....and then there's all the PC stuff, i'd forgotten that.

@Picklebobble2 the nice thing about a PC is you can modify them to fit your games or your budget.

Downside, it involves a lot of technical know-how
@caPnAhab motherboards have become incompatible with newer generation of processor so when you upgrade a processor you end up upgrading ram, motherboard and processor. It’s most of the cost of pc.

Better to buy a console. It lasts longer
