I Love Playing Video Games

I'm playing FFI for the first time, and it's annoying because of all the backtracking you have to do. Should I just skip to FFII?

It has been quite awhile since I played them, but FFI and FFII are almost identical in gameplay and their ability to annoy you. For RPGs, I prefer the Fire Emblem and Golden Sun games. Although, I suppose I am assuming that you are playing on a DS, because that is how I played all the early FF games...

I dom't mind VI, and those fake FF games for Game Boy. Also, Dragon Quest is better at not making you back track.

@naoradix: True. I think I only won like half of the FF games because I got so annoyed. Have you tried the Rune Factory series? A bit different, but pretty cool.

FFI was a ton of backtracking, and if I remember correctly you end the game where you start ... but it is a classic ...

@naoradix: I have played them on my laptop as well, I was thinking about setting up a RetroPi and having that hooked up to my TV.

Luckily we have a few retro stores by us so I only have to go a mile or so to get a new SNES. I'm also playing MGS for the first time. I'm bad at it because I freak out whenever someone spots me.
