I don't know why this is such a shock to gamers. Physical media in all areas has been dying for years. Streaming services and digital downloads have taken over. Long gone are the days where you could go into Best Buy and browse endless aisles of music, movies, and games.

@PDXNative1986 I've only made a couple physical purchases in probably the last 5 or 6 years. I do feel empathy for the collectors. I loved having a big collection of physical media to keep on display. Just found it easier and cheaper to download them.

@SpectralMourning 0 trust for anyone other than Valve at this point, I've sat through the streaming libraries removing peoples access to content and seen it all play out and after someone pointed out they couldn't take Physical media away from you that was it, that was the end to me. Once someone makes a valid and good point my behavioral shifts are often permanent.
