Old games are more fun with newer equipment
So I've never been wealthy, but getting the experience that a wealthy person might have had with a game 15 or so years later when the technologies needed to enjoy it the to the fullest finally become affordable
I have a simple low tier modern gaming laptop, RTX 3050 with 11400H i5 and 16GB DDR4, very recent but the lowest tier for the year that can be called a gaming laptop without becoming a liar, but getting 80-144 FPS on old games with a gaming keyboard and mouse that were high end when they were new back in the day is pretty cool
It's so much easier to be quick with solid high FPS, video games can be good for reflex practice (though martial arts, parkour, driving, and a number of things are better)
I heard 200fps was out a long time ago for high prices, but this is my first screen over 75 FPS, and on the games it gets frames like that it's a totally different experience
Usually, Caesar's legion would kill me fast if I was low level without extremely good gear, but I got a checkpoint before and kept running it until I was satisfied with my performance and then recorded it, it was really satisfying and after that the rest of the game felt really easy too
500mhz Logitech G602 with a Red Dragon keyboard of some sort overlocked to 1000mhz using HIDUSBF makes things so much easier
