Stardew Valley - Colored Crystals Puzzle
So I’m playing Stardew Valley on the Nintendo Switch. I’m on Ginger Island West. I went up the stairs through the tiger slime grove and found the secret cave whose entrance is concealed by the leaves of a palm tree. In this cave are five different-colored crystals that ring in different tones when you stand next to them and press A, and at the back of the cave is a lion statue that’s supposed to trigger the puzzle. The reward for solving this puzzle is supposedly three golden walnuts.
I’ve read on Reddit that this puzzle is notoriously difficult for a number of reasons - the crystals ring too fast, the crystals all flash white instead of different colors when they ring, every time you mess up and have to start over the sequence is different, etc., but I’m finding this puzzle to be impossible for an entirely different reason than any I’ve seen posted so far: when I click the lion statue nothing happens. The puzzle never starts.
Does anyone know why this puzzle won’t start for me? Is this a bug or something I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
