I got Total War: Warhammer 3 on sale for the Skulls event

Skulls is the event where all the upcoming Warhammer video games get shown off officially. Anyway, I started playing it tonight doing the prologue campaign, and if I'm honest I'm not super into it but am at the same time? I had a lot more fun conquering the world as the High Elves (my favourite faction) in the second game than I am currently, but that's because the campaign is just kind of plodding along with little actually happening at this stage. The goal is to rescue Ursun, the bear god of Kislev, but I'm 30 turns in and every turn feels like I'm going half as far as I was with the elves.

But I paid 33% of its normal cost (it's on sale on Steam for 66% off until 30 May) so probably shouldn't complain too much. It'll likely get better, and even if it doesn't it's just one campaign then I can get to the world conquering.

The prologue is just to introduce the campaign mode for that game. Wasn't much of a fan of that mode honestly. I'd recommend playing Immortal Empires instead. That's the main draw for that game. Takes all the factions across the trilogy and puts them all on the map which is all the games' maps combined. A giant sandbox with tons of stuff to do.
