I play video games to be in another dimension, to be in control, to be a God.
That happens once in a while, not really frequent.

I'm a gamer for many reasons.
One of which, is a form of escapism in the same way as one might read a book or watch a movie.
Another is that for me, personally, gaming is something of a meditative experience, in that once I start playing a video game, I'm "in the zone," so to speak.
A third reason is that it's an exercise in hand/eye mind/body co-ordination.

@Sidewinder it's actually therapeutic. You go into a state of autohypnosis.

I used to love video games as a kid when I had all the time in the world, but now I can’t play them without feeling guilty. There’s just always something I could be doing with my time that is more productive and more beneficial to me as a human being. Unless I’m being payed to play as a content creator or something, I’d rather just make a good life for myself. Video games are not that. They take away from life.

I still play.
Not as much as to, but still I do.
Why?
Cause it's fun and I do whatever tf I want.

If video games didn't exist, you'd be a millionaire drowning in women.
