I miss when videogames were purely just a videogame

Now they're always trying to sell me something extra inside the game

Now it's all about live services and micro transactions. Companies like EA are trying everything to push these treads and make single player or story driven games less relevant so they can make more money throughout the lifecycle of a game.

Just compare the original Battlefront 2 to the new one from a few years ago to see what I mean.

@NeighFlowers which is really too bad because the story/campaign aspect of any game has always been my favorite part.
