To anyone who played Elden Ring, how brutal is it ACTUALLY?

considering buying that game, but beyond the fact i'm not 100% sure my laptop can run it (REALLY gotta get a proper gaming rig one of those days), i know of From Software's love of brutal difficulty and never got past Dark Souls 3's first boss (granted the fact i don't have the best patience did nothing to help me in that regard) so i'm worried i just will get promptly destroyed and never finish the game

Elden Ring is great but I can't say it's difficult or not so can't help you. For an explanation, I died a lot you'd think I'd say that was difficult but once you figure things out, it's not at the same time.

With that said, I never played the Dark Souls games before Elden Ring but if you didn't get past the first boss of Dark Souls, then I wouldn't. It's not that I don't think you can't beat it, it just may not be for you if you're not willing to go rounds. It's kind of that type of game and you get better but it takes patience.

Elden Ring is a lot easier as you don't need to do it in order just get much stronger than the bosses apart from the second boss, but you will still be dieing a lot

If you haven't liked previous Souls games, you won't like it. I'd say it's maybe less brutal, but hard to say.

I have a pretty good gaming laptop though and I have some framerate issues.
