Cortana is the onboard AI of the military spacecraft [i]Pillar of Autumn[/i] and captain Jacob Keyes is asking if they've managed to outrun the aliens they're fleeing from.

Fun fact, Cortana the Windows assistant is named after Cortana from Halo. The games were made for Xbox, which is produced by Microsoft, the same company that makes Windows.
