Intel or AMD? [I Love Gaming On Pc]

my BF's birthday is coming up and i wanna get him a gaming pc but i'm not sure about which kind to get him. would i be better off getting an Intel based pc or an AMD based pc? is there that much of a difference?

Whatever you get it's probably not going to be the one he'd prefer.... Why not just give him the offer of the computer and you can go shopping for it together... He gets what he wants and you get to she the excitement

I think this, computers are something gamers can get really picky about, and as @ozgirl512 stated, this way you get to share in his excitement, But i can understand you wanting to have something to give him on the day..so maybe a computer mouse, and then tell him you are both going to get a pc to go with it. What a fantastic gf you are by the way
