Wonderful sight. Where... France? Belgium?
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@ArishMell Germany, up on the Baltic coast. It runs through the streets of Bad Doberan out to the seaside town of Ostseebad.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@FreddieUK Thankyou!
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Cobblestone street too. 😍
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Unless you live in Bad Doberan that is.
RedBaron · M
@FreddieUK Sure, if you’re a fan of air pollution and slower travel.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@RedBaron Slower travel for leisure is the best way. The air pollution from heritage steam in minimal. Agreed 'back in the day' it was appalling.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@FreddieUK Ironically far more nowadays from tourist travel than from tourist attractions!

It must have been grim living close to steam sheds back in the past, partly because when raising steam in a locomotive there is insufficient natural draught for the coal to burn cleanly. Though in the same era, thousands of homes were burning lower-quality coal daily, in far less efficient ways.
