Tesla has canceled plans to bring the Cybertruck to the Australian market

Reportedly Tesla is refunding all deposits put down by interested Aussies.

Presumbly Telsa is no longer interested in trying to get Cybertrucks built for RHD (are there any RHD countries that get them?) and is presumably not interested in building them to comply with Australian Design Rules for motor vehicles which are a lot stricter on safety regulations that most US federal and state rules.

They've likely calculated the cost of modifying them to meet other countries' rules would be outweighed by any possible sales.

Yet they manage to sell their normal EVs abroad. Perhaps the Cybertruck was never really intended for export.

Tesla, or more likely its outlandish owner, doesn't really seem interested in developing any further. It's supposed "flying car" was only a gimmick, and Musk admitted it is not safe; but is Tesla advancing its genuine car designs?
