I see people selling their old ugly used Teslas. Who's stupid enough to buy a used Tesla?

People should really do research before they make that kind of a purchase.

Have had a one I bought used for three years now. Love it and would and will buy another one.

@RocktheHouse 99 percent of charging is in my garage. How long to charge depends on how low the battery is. I only charge up to 80 percent unless I am taking a road trip. Usually about 5 or 6 hours to charge at home. 1000 mile road trip too 57 minutes of charging.
@Like2play But you didnt buy it 5 years used, did you? I would love to own a new one but i would pay $37,000 for a 5 year used model 3.

@RocktheHouse you can get a new one for around that price.

People say the same about Fords. They’re so poorly made and unreliable.
@AMelancholyHaunting Even Ford is more durable than Teslas, and Ford vehicles are cheap. Tesla charged these people twice as much as they were worth and now they want to trade in or sell their battery operated toy-quality cars. Even China makes toy cars that are more durable.
@AMelancholyHaunting And Tesla cars are ugly .... people just buy things because they have the money to.

@RocktheHouse It’s their choice.

I wouldn't touch that thing with a 100-foot pole. There is way too much electronics in there. Also, batteries have "expiry" dates too, which they don't tell you about.
SW-User
@Lanyx The battery "expires" after about 8 years, which is longer than most people actually keep their petrol/diesel cars for.

@SW-User My VW Golf 4 (1.9TDi) {diesel} was made in 2000. After 23 years, it is still going strong. I don't know if the disposable "green" Tesla could match that.
@SW-User the battery degrades over time due to capacity loss. Now, after about 3 or 4 years you're going to have to charge it way more frequently and you're not going to be able to go as many miles ... If you buy a used Tesla Model 3 2018, that's 5 or 6 years old... you said 8 years and that's assuming the battery doesn't have the faults like a lot of the batteries... so the battery has 2 good years left. I see these cars, used, listed at $37,000. Gullible consumers will buy, not smart consumers.

they are a liability more than anything else. Only a fool would do that. Even the Tesla company has come down on the prices because the demand is not as great any more. Might as well buy a Yugo. I think owners got 2-3 years out of them.

@cherokeepatti wrong. Love my Tesla and the yugo was made in Yugoslavia.
Elon Musk knows that sustainable transportation isn't electric cars.
But he's killing you with fake confusion.
Ruling.
