Would you trust an Uber driver to deliver a three tier buttercream cake 50 miles through LA on a 90 degree day?

I was hired to do exactly that yesterday. I’ve never driven so carefully or with the AC that cold for so long before in my life 😂

This job is a piece of cake

I remember my dad doing that when he had his Bakery in a Ford station wagon with a five-tier wedding cake in three pieces with no air conditioning LOL I remember my father having to make that cake twice so kudos to you

@LaLumieri oof! Poor guy! Yeah, buttercream cakes can been fairly delicate, especially when it’s hot out.

no I'd be worried they would eat some toppings. side note, I used to dash and Uber eats at the same time. then one day, I got screwed up while trying to take 2 orders at once. this led to my getting booted from doordash.

Also i hope you made good money on that trip!

Not too bad…$55 for a couple hours round trip @JaggedLittlePill

@Zaphod42 I had one of the worst days doordashing last week. Had a delivery take over an hour due to a closed road and a train blocking the other direction. My air had gone out and despite calling the customer and explaining .they didnt feel the need to compensate me for going above and beyond to get their Arby's to their house.

@JaggedLittlePill Ugh! Yeah, things like that are why I don’t like doing DoorDash or Postmates.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
No. That is fucking absurd.

It was a hell of a job. Felt like I was driving a box of nitroglycerine 😂 @JaggedLittlePill
