Heli pilot

I have always wished I could fly a heli but because of my disability I never can do this. This is only one out of many things my disability prevents me from doing. In Sweden we have a heli school but every single lesson maybe cost 30 000 SEK. A finished certificate for a heli also cost maybe 200 000 SEK.

Have you ever been the passenger in a helicopter? I refer to it as riding on a magic carpet.

@BobbySpeedy yes once. I was at a flight show many years ago and then I stood in the que to go as a passenger with a heli. Ostermans helicopter service was it called. It was not a long flight just 20 minutes and it was a small heli.
@SwedenGuy
So is that when your love affair with helicopters started?
SwedenGuy · 56-60, MNew
@BobbySpeedy Yes kind of. I have always wondered how it is to sit in the frontseat and fly a heli. I have flewn radio controlled helis and thats the nearest a real heli I come.

yeah stuff is expensive.. looks cool tho
SwedenGuy · 56-60, MNew
@GoFish Yes they are and some things also requires a medical examination and a doctor's statement.

You have to get a doctors approval for any kind of pilots license in the US.
SwedenGuy · 56-60, MNew
@jackson55 I think you have in every country...not only in USA.
just FYI the pictured helo doesn't exist, the SkyRunner X1 is an AI-generated fiction that looks like it was trained on Lamborghini pics or someone fed "Lamborghini" into the prompt .... and the diameter of that main rotor reaching the tail rotor makes me cringe, that would be a recipe for disaster
