Food is put in a big pantry
Pans are kept in larger cupboards.
Dishes and cups... in kitchen cabinets.

Pants and shirts are put in dressers.
Dresses are kept in closets.
Hats are kept on hat rack but shoes are boxed.

Switching on lights is called turning them on.
Use of a doorknob is called opening a door.
When you leave your home you lock it up but that has nothing to do with the direction called up.
When you return you unlock it to enter but if you remove the locks it's never called unlocking.

When you lay on a bed you lay down in it but if you sit on a bed you can sit on it but you never sit down in it. You can only sit down in chairs.

There's no "w" in the word "one"
It wandered into the word "two" and doesn't belong there.

The number words, for 4 of them anyway, one, two, six and ten. These have three letters each.
The 3 words that have three, eight and seven. These each have five. While the words four five and nine each have 4 letters each. Because who the heck knows why.

And now for some English lessons.

The letter c sometimes is pronounced like an s or sometimes as a k. Or a q. Sometimes a t becomes a different sound when you follow it with an h. But if you follow a p with an h it turns into an f. A W isn't a double U. It's a double v that sounds like an o. To pronounce the letter l begin with an a sound and follow that with an e sound as you almost stick out your tongue. The letter C is pronounced See. The letter X Is pronounced Ecks. Tee is how you pronounce the letter T. The letter why and the word is pronounced and propounded profoundly the same. These are the easy letters of the English alphabet. Redo is not the same as red dew, and read is not read the same when read means read as when read meant past or present tense of read. If you made it this far into this comment feel free to add some of your own keen observations about the less popularized or known linguistic glitches. They are, after all, much commoner than hens teeth but less so to the average commoner.

Yeap. It's also true that things sold in stores come from a warehouse and things kept in a warehouse are being stored.
