Dual Sport Motorcycles

Does anyone else out there enjoy riding on AND off road? I have had many different motorcycles
up to about 40 years old. I then concentrated on building my company, now at 64 I finally got
back into riding, and decided on a dual sport, since I like both dirt and street. I'm already
looking at what I will get after this one. I'm still getting back my skills.

In my younger days I even rode a little motocross. Like you I haven't had a dirt bike in 33 years. I would love to have another one. I hope you have a good time and enjoy. 馃槉

@Musicman The XT250 is great for us old guys. It has a low seat height,
so I can put both feet flat on the ground. Very easy to ride, not very fast,
but fast enough. I'm having so much fun. I don't like to drive in traffic
but its fun to cruise the side streets and hit some easy trails. It is a 2016
and it only had 217 miles on it.

@DogMan That's great! Low seats are great for me as I have short legs. I hope you are having all the fun. 馃檪

@Musicman I think it is a 32" seat height, I'm only 5'9 with a 30" inseam. It is
the lowest seat other than the Yamaha TW200 which is what I was going to get
but I couldn't find one. They are really cool bikes. They have really fat tires.

@DogMan I have shrunk to 5'6" and my inseam is shorter than yours. My last dirt bike was a Yamaha TT 350.

@DogMan Here is a picture I got off of Pinterest. Mine looked just like this.

@Musicman That was a great bike. I had an XT500 I think 1979 It was one of the
first big thumper dirt bikes.

@DogMan Have you ever ridden in the desert? I haven't, but I would love to one time. 馃檪

@Musicman That is a good looking bike, way ahead of it's time back then.

@Musicman Yes, I have lived in the desert since I got stationed at Nellis AFB in 1977.

I grew up in Iowa riding the woods. The desert is more dangerous because of the rocks
literally everywhere. lot's of sand too. That is why I like riding in southern Utah, it's
a blend of desert, mountains, and forests. You should check out the TW200, it would
be perfect for you, if you can find one. They have a cult following, a lot of TW clubs.

@DogMan Thanks. I will definitely look into them. I grew up in Virginia riding the trails in the woods.

@Musicman Man..that TT350 has got to be one of the best looking bikes ever. Even by todays
standards.
