Stranger Danger

If you were driving down a country highway, no traffic nor people , no cell phone and you came across a severely injured person in the road, what would you do? Would you go to him/her? or drive off to make a call? Just curious.

As a former EMT, always be certain the scene is safe before stopping to assess the victim and potentially rendering aid. If any doubt, like most everyone said, find a phone and call it in. It doesn't help the injured person if you become a victim too.

If you can help, priorities are airway first, then breathing, then circulation. If you need to fix any of these, do so if possible, then go on and summon help. At that point you'll have done all you can for them.
