Do you carry jerry can(s) of fuel with your vehicle (particularly if a diesel) in normal day to day driving?

I have four 20 litre jerry cans in my shed - 2 for diesel 2 for petrol.

I am about to get a new 10 litre diesel one to carry in the diesel 4wd at all times as an emergency backup (probably in the vehicle and covered so not visible not externally in a holder as it can be stolen from there).

I only use Australian-made steel ProQuip jerry cans which are the modern version of the standard US military type of jerry cans. I don't trust plastic fuel containers.

My petrol ones are older drab green (not red) but despite their age are still 100 perfect functional. My diesel ones are the current AFAC olive yellow style.

Well before Trump started his phony oil control war I have had spare fuel for my cars (and mower) and for my 4wd stored safely away from my house building in the back shed.

I have done in the past but have not needed to for many, many years. I am not though, driving continental distances between very widely-spread towns.
