The reason it can't happen in America is because nobody makes money off each charging transaction since solar energy is acquired for free. And besides, if Americans didn't think about solar charging first (not second), then America will not use it themselves on principle alone.

@swirlie I see that. One of the bigger "things" with EV charging here is the home charging unit, where your roof PV panels charge a home battery to provide home power and charge your car for free at home. I cant see that being promoted in the US...😷

No, not in the US but it's becoming a big deal in Canada, since the manufacture of solar panels is a huge industry in Canada, particularly EV batteries for cars since all the natural resources required are right here in the ground in Canada.
I believe the reason the USA doesn't embrace EV technology, though their climate temperature is perfect for having the greatest range possible from an EV battery, is because somebody has to invest in the charging infrastructure and like I said, there is no money in each transaction. And besides, EV is way too WOKE for the average American to get their head around. Drill baby drill!
In Sweden for example, you can fully charge your EV car at a roadside solar charging station for the equivalent of $5 USD, which is a credit card fee that is used to maintain the system, but not collected to pay dividends to shareholders.
The credit card machine transacts each charge using wireless cellphone signal technology, meaning there is no internet connection required for the credit card to work.

@swirlie Yes. Me too. I am currently playing musical chairs between our free public system and the (insurance covered) private system to get the fastest cheap treatment. 😷
