Blackouts Imminent this Summer. Please be prepared.

Due to oil and gas shortages, the news pundits speculated that there will be blackouts in heavily populated urban areas, and most especially in mismanaged areas like California.

"They" are saying that due to the shortages blackouts will now become a regular thing all over the country, especially on very hot days when everyone is running their air conditioners. If you are living in a high rise, this might be the difference between life and death for the elderly.

Heat stroke is no joke.

IF you can afford it, please buy some battery operated fans, and don't forget to buy the batteries.

Even without an air conditioner, you can cool off by dampening your clothing with cold water and allowing the fan to dry you.

You can also get into a cold shower, and last but not least, here are the plans for a home made battery operated air conditioner:

So much for build back better and just get an electric vehicle.
@Ozuye502 build back better, a slogan of useless words uttered by any number of politicians, hoping to reach heights of self aggrandizement!

@Ozuye502 If these idiots REALLY wanted to convert the country to electric vehicles, why in HELL didn't they begin by installing charging stations EVERYWHERE? Nope...instead these short sighted bozos assume that ALL the people who don't own their own homes and own their own garage, can just take the bus everywhere. WHAT bus? What small town in Iowa has a bus service? How are the people in rural states supposed to traverse large distances between job and home to go work at the bread factory?

@4meAndyou oh I know it’s a ploy to restrict freedom of travel! They want the working class to only provide themselves ourselves with the basics essentials except that the basic essentials don’t provide the economic growth a nation would need to stay reliant in the world.

@Ozuye502 You've definitely got a point. I just heard on the news a moment ago that one man took a 2500 mile trip in an electric car, and he had to stop every four hours and charge the car for three hours. He claims he spent more time charging the car than he did sleeping.

@4meAndyou I know the new ones charge faster but with a range of 400 miles with no climate control or lights it drops significantly! Now I can do about 700 miles on a tank of gas in my wife’s car before filling up again. 15 minutes for a stretch and bathroom break. Back out on the road! From just about 2x the distance between New York City and Richmond Virginia

@Ozuye502 Wow! My gas tank is 17.1 gallons, and I only get 24 mpg mixed city and straightaway driving...that's a pitiful 410 miles per tank.

@4meAndyou I’m telling you on the highway that 2.5l 5 cylinder turbo Volvo engine is a done so beautifully it’s crazy granted I did put a tune in it to drop off boost pressure when you hold you engage cruse control which adjusts the fuel trim back but I’m getting like 33-34 mpg

@Ozuye502 Wow!!! I have a V6, and it's an older Honda. At the time I bought it, I thought the gas mileage sounded great...🤣

@4meAndyou when was the last time you replace your fuel and air filters?
You can also try running + instead of regular or premium instead of + tire pressure and condition you can also try running a thinner oil just don’t use a 0w15 or 0w20 cleaning your injectors I use Lucas fuel system treatment also

@Ozuye502 I use synthetic oil...usually summer weight. Fuel and air filters haven't been changed for a few years...not since the last time I went to Jiffy Lube. Will have to look for that grade of gas. I usually just buy regular. I just had them check the tires for pressure.
