Floating on the highway

I was driving on a main street highway when a car pulled out in front of me from a side street. If he had been fast, maybe, just maybe, he would have had enough time, but he was slow, like he was just floating around in traffic. So I honked my horn because he almost caused an accident by doing that.

I felt badly afterward when I saw that he was like a 95-year-old man who could barely see over the steering wheel. I get that he probably shouldn't be on the road because it is unsafe, but there really isn't much elder care in my country without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars or buying into insurance when you're in your 30s and 40s.

I have absolutely no idea if he has anyone to take care of him or what his situation is, and I did feel badly about it. It kind of reminds me of this quick little funny.

That is scary. Yes, our country sucks when it comes to health care and care for the elderly. I knew an older man once who had paid into a great insurance plan his whole life. They covered everything pretty much. His wife passed, and he assumed he was still taken care of. Nope. They started pulling the "Your policy was a 'couples' policy and jerking him around. Needless to say, because of their games, his family was stuck with the bills.
@WanderingHelplessly so greedy...

It’s sad to think he might not have anyone ti care for him.
@RebelRaven yeah it is. I took care of my grandma and grandpa for uears before they passed away and it was really bad. I hate to think what their life would have been like without help
