Sorry to hear this . If possible tell him he can let you have his other one . Don't get much on trade in anyway . 👻

I'd be happy to

Always said that if I'll ever move to America the best anti-theft device I could mount on a car would be the manual transmission 🏃🏻‍♂‍➡

I drove a stick for many years. I can teach you ✨
Degbeme · 70-79, M
So you`re asking me to help you learn to drive a stick so you can continue to take off with your dad vehicle? 🙄
Sapio · 51-55, M
I'll teach you how to drive stick. I drove commercial vehicles with manual transmissions for the better part of 25 years.
Just drive it anyway and grind the gears. That will teach him how to not buy vehicles!

My son and daughter had to learn to drive stick before I let them get their licenses. They had to drive my truck and change the tire by themselves. The downside was that my daughter became the "go-to" person whenever her high school and college friends had flat tires.
I drive a stick and easy to learn.

You are Gen Z status so this might take some time but learning with a boomer might do the trick!

Manual transmission, best theft deterrent there is.
Ashly · 26-30, F
@jackson55 at least for me it is 😒😂
Neuman · M
how mechanically apt are you?
Oneofthestormboys · 56-60, M
That’s pretty much the norm over here. I prefer manual gearboxes to automatic - feels like you’re more in control of the car.
It still baffles me how that's not included in driving lessons and exams over there by default. 😅
@Ashly learning to drive from parents instead of going to a driving school is another thing that keeps baffling me 😅 Next you'll tell me the instructor doesn't have his own pedals to correct the student. 😱

@NerdyPotato America is Weird

I thought you knew this already 🤭
@Ashly freedumb! 🥳
Munumbis · 46-50, M
It's just not that hard. Mostly you have to control clutch and throttle. Choose the right gear and synch your clutch and throttle. Thats about it. You're brain is a tough high powered organ it'll tap dance over a challenge like that.
Jonjdw · 51-55, M
You’re probably too far away for me to help you
