I Have Anxiety Driving

I was in a car accident when I was 16. It knocked my wind, my ribs hurt, I ended up with an untreated neck inury.

Ever since then I've been afraid to drive. I went to driving school when I was 18 but then I couldn't afford a car and I just took the bus as it was free.

Now my husband WANTS me to drive "so you can be free". I'm afraid its a mind trip as I don't trust it. lol.

And the idea of being behind the wheel scares the crap out of me. OMG. AND he wants to teach me during the winter. Oh god I'm so scared.

I have no idea what to do or how to get over it. Being behind the wheel makes me feel like I'm out of control and theres to much going way too fast.

Take your time and work up to being in traffic. Get used to handling the vehicle first and your confidence will come naturally. You find that your much more in control when it's you behind the wheel! Best of luck, be safe!

Ah, don't blame you there if you live where there's snow and ice. But those are important skills too! Lol I hope it works out for you, I know it can be intimidating. We used to go out in the country or find a big open parking lot to practice in where we couldn't crash into anyone.
