I’m 19 going on 20 and have no license. Is it pathetic?

One of my younger cousins laughed at me and called me pathetic and a coward because a grown woman like me had no driver’s license. One said he’s 16 and already has his and another got hers at 17. I told them there’s people that can’t afford cars or have to take the bus, even Uber and what makes them superior than them or me? They gave me a look and can’t even speak. I just walked off.
