At the mechanic for an oil change and a squealing noise on front left when going around curves while driving, only when turning left.

One guy said sounds like a CV joint, I have no idea. I'm guessing 2100.

Yeah, I’d guess CV joint too. Depending on the mechanic, and if it’s just the one side, prolly $500 to $1000

@Zaphod42 it's the rear wheel bearing driver side. With today's oil change, then parts, labor and tax would be 670.

Gonna get it done Friday when I get paid.

Depends on the car and if one needs replacement, the other does too... could be up to 3k for both.

@Musicman I dunno, everything that's newer these days you have to go to the dealer for.

I once heard a mechanic tell a person that all they could do was fill up their tires, but for everything else they had to go to their dealership.

Cause of all the sensors and computer stuff, the mechanic didn't want to mess with it all, he said he wasn't too sure about some things and that some stuff on newer cars can only be done at the dealer.
