I did it this time!

So I started working on my vehicle myself, since I'm broke as fk and it's just good to learn that stuff. So I've done a few things and decide upper and lower ball joints. Holy hell, my trucks been on jackstands a month. And I literally have no one to help me out at all. But I'm going to do it. Alone, like everything else. The only thing that's going to stop me is the truck coming off the stands and squashing me!!!

Do NOT work on your vehicle unless it's supported on stands if any part of it needs to be lifed AND wheels still on the ground are chocked for safety against rolling. do NOT rely on the handbrake and/or being 'in gear' (if a manual gearbox).

I work on my vehicles myself and I'm anal about safety as like you I only have myself with nobody else to help. A weight of 1+ tonnes coming down on you will be super dangerous.

@zonavar68 I know, I have 3 stands and a couple jackswhere if it did it would be ok, but u know how it is when you're having to raise and lower it, it's impossible for all to be firmly supported but they're all in pivotal spots. Ball joints are no joke, but I should've done 1 at a time instead of both at the same time. Thanks tho I appreciate the advice!

@TIstillwaitinggsc69 Also never get under any part of a vehicle supported by a jack alone. Good luck!

Ball joints need a couple special tools. Forks to split em and presses to pop em in. Hopefully you got a place near you that you can rent them or buy thdm cheap

@LunarOrbit free tool rental, you put a deposit and get it back when you return the tool
