Buying a car

I’m looking to buy a used Mercedes A Class and the average age of the car is around 8-10 years old. Could anyone give me some advice on what maximum mileage I should be looking at for a petrol or diesel car.

Probably 50000 miles
My advice would be to go online to a used car website and do a search for the type of vehicle you are looking for and see what shows up. That will give you an idea of expected price range, age and mileage.

@justanothername online I’m seeing A class around 120,000 miles.

@Ian1892 Aside from mileage, what’s your purpose for buying that particular vehicle?

@justanothername I like the look of the car and seen some decent reviews on it (its the hatchback version) around 2013/14.

@Ian1892 so why is maximum mileage a consideration for you?

@justanothername I haven’t got that much knowledge on cars and I’ve been told in the past that over 100,000 miles on a used car is something I should be careful of. I understand that if cars are looked after then high mileage (to a certain degree) shouldn’t be a problem.
