How come they never followed through with these cars

RUNS ON ANYTHING / LASTS FOREVER!

The Mercedes 240D the most driven taxi in Africa and the most sustainable car in the world.

Built to last for 30 years and 380,000 miles of use, these vehicles are now still reliably driving in the taxi service with often over 1,240,000 mi and 45 years old!

They can simply be operated clean and CO2 neutral with:
- Nut oil
- Fish oil
- Rapeseed oil
- Sunflower oil
- Jatropa oil
- Palm oil
- PTL Diesel
- Care Diesel
- Old frying grease
- Biodiesel
or with fossil fuels
- Mineral Diesel
- Mineral Kerosene
Currently, the life span of a new car is approx. 7 years old Mercedes have lasted 7 times compared to a new vehicle and save 7 times the CO2 backpack of a new car.

Cars that last are the REAL eco cars...

Because of large number of cars, local mechanics knew the car. I am sure most parts are after market and cheap.
If you are in US or EU, they are expensive to maintain. And many items are OEM dealer only and Benz rob you on parts and service.
When you go for service or repairs, they even don’t give you one number. They give you wide range, like 1000-1500. Go figure out yourself where it will end. Lol

Because planned obsolescence, nowadays car manufacture makes car much less reliable and complicated to fix forcing consumer had to spend more to fix or to replace.

None of those are CO/CO2 free though 🙈 I mean it's always a combustion, and it's always going to emit those gases as a byproduct
