Post a photo of a classic vehicle

Been seeing lots of old American classic cars being driven around this holiday weekend. And I was thinking this might be an international behavior of humans in many countries to show off their old classics. Nostalgia may know no bounds, you know?

If you have a photo, please post a picture here of an old classic car or other vehicle in your area of the world. I'm hoping to see cool or interesting vehicles from the past from all over the world!

@jackjjackson Sadly no. I think that their motorbike division is still around but I could be wrong🤷‍♂️

Triumph still makes motorbikes. I don't think they have a factory anywhere near America though. There is a dealer about 15 minutes away from where I live. People like them for the sportier, modern look and designs. A cousin in law of mine bought a cheap used one years ago.

Totally different vibe from the traditional Harley Davidson motorcycles and vibe that is hugely popular here. lots of diehard Harley fans out here. So it's good it's so different, because I don't think they would make it here otherwise.

@Scribbles I remember back in the 1980's, there was a sort of "emergence' of Hells Angels chapters in the UK. Some were pretty violent (in keeping with their American counterparts I think) but most were just motorcycle clubs that cruised around the British countryside at weekends.

Some members had Harley's but the two main motorbikes that they chose to convert into "choppers" were the Triumph Bonneville and the Norton (another big motorbike manufacturer in the UK) Commando. There is a small Norton dealership not far from where I live here in Barcelona. Apparently, both the Bonneville and the Commando were lighter, more nimble and generally faster than the Harley hogs. Obviously a lot cheaper too.

@room101 How the big ole choppers ever got popular is something I wonder about.
Light Street bikes make the most sense to me.

Yeah and Makes sense to convert something lighter into a chopper.

I don't know if you've ever sat on a big ole hog (Harley) /Chopper. Or even helped someone by walking one over to park it somewhere else...But they are ridiculously BIG and heavy. Like 500-600 pounds heavy easily. I don't know how those motorcycle gangs back then did it.

If you had to stop at a toll or something on a longer trip, Would they have to take a "smoke break" on the side of the road, for any newer members who couldn't keep up, I wonder. I suppose they'd only.take experienced motorcyclists and it wouldn't be a huge problem. Or they had some kind of buddy system. idk. Lol. I used to know someone who would complain about people getting bikes too heavy for themselves.

Are helmet covers big over there at all? I hope not. I've seen more and more people in the city with creepy helmet covers like this:

I just can't even...🤦‍♀️

@jackjjackson Are you into Motorcycles?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Nope. I did once own a TR-6 convertible back in the day. Wish I still had it. @Scribbles

@jackjjackson I just looked up photos on google. That looks like a pretty sweet car. No wonder you miss having it.

Ever watch Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars getting coffee? I used to watch it, because sometimes the jokes were funny, but mostly it was pretty cool seeing the different cars. (he always had a different vehicle each episode)

No. Maybe I should. It was my favorite color green. @Scribbles

@Scribbles Never seen anybody anywhere in Europe wear a helmet cover. Certainly not one like that🤣🤣🤣

Wouldn't surprise me if they're illegal over here.
