One of the first 'wedge' cars

Alfa Romeo Carabo
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
This car looks like it would be successful today, if it had only a few alterations.
It reminded me of a Triumph TR7.

The delauren must have been based on it

Aerodynamic
SW-User
@vetguy1991 I think the extra air intakes on the hood add drag, but its a nice low profile.
SW-User
@vetguy1991 surprisingly it really isn't ... you used to read things in car magazines in the 80s like the Countach would hit a brick wall around 180mph that extra horsepower wouldn't really solve ... a tear drop shape is the most aerodynamic (take a cross section of the air foils on F1 cars for instance, or the wing on an airliner), so you'd also see assertions like driving a Porsche 928 in reverse had a lower drag coefficient than driving it forward

Where do you plug it in?
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
Very retro. And at the same time, very futuristic.

i owned a 61 alfa gueletta
SW-User
Possibly the first one with scissor doors as well, about 3 years before the first Countach prototype (also styled by Bertone ... don't remember if it was Bertone employee Marcello Gandini specifically though)

edit:
si, Gandini did design both
candycane · 31-35, F
When you sit in it do you get a wedgie🤪
SW-User
@candycane Yes. You can also use this car to wedge the garage door open.
