We're back from Tennessee

It was a grand grueling trip of over 2700 miles in an air-conditioned, roomy Grand Cherokee Jeep with a smooth ride, a fine radio, and an excellent driver.

I still cannot conceive even considering such a journey in a horse-drawn wagon.

Signs I liked:

Lake Lotawata, Oklahoma. There WAS a lotta wata in the lake!

On a Sinclair gas station marquee, under the gas prices, "Check out our wine list!"

Sounds like it was a pretty good trip.
Now think of that trip in bad weather in a horse drawn wagon😟
@Virgo79 I know! The settlers were deranged.
@Virgo79 Also, big families were the norm. Skeenteen-eleven kids whining "Are we there yet?"

@Mamapolo2016 could you imagine🤦‍♂️
My two was enough😂

I might want to pick out a wine to go with their

PROPANE
SNACKS
@DrWatson What would you pair with propane snacks?

Maybe Barefoot Chablis anti-gas
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Mamapolo2016 That's it! Drop some Alka-Seltzer into a glass of Barefoot Chablis, and we have champagne on the cheap!
@DrWatson Let's don't do lunch.

Welcome home!
@JustNik Thank you. Both Chloe and I are delighted to be home. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and she did not.

She finally stopped stress panting about an hour after we got back. I was worried about her.

@Mamapolo2016 poor dear. Kane’s not much of a traveler either. They’re just not used to it I suppose. I’m glad you had a good time though, and she’ll be okay now. 🤗

I am so glad you had a great trip.
@SweetMae Thank you. I got to meet 4 grandnieces and grandnephews, 4-10. They were such a pleasure to be around!

How far did you drive each day? I drove about fifteen hundred miles over a three-day period. By myself. It was pretty tiring.
@ProfessorPlum77 My daughter did all the driving and the trip to Tennessee took about 2 1/2 days and the trip back took 2 days.

@Mamapolo2016 She must be a trooper! 1300 miles is a long way to drive in two days! On the other hand, she did have a nice person to converse with!!!

🤓
@ProfessorPlum77 She did commend me as a valuable passenger. "You talk a lot. Keeps me awake."
