Recently we got rear ended in a car accident. Our car was totalled.
If you were me, what car would you buy that is great on gas, safe, lasts long and will require low maintence?

You have not mentioned your size or carry needs. But if a small SUV is suitable I would take a serious look at a Mitsubishi ASX. A design and build to match Toyota, frugal on fuel and a little better on purchase price than toyota.
Of course, if you have 6 kids or own more than 2 sheep dogs, you might need something larger.😷

We tried getting a toyota camry but they wouldn't be getting any until Sept., so we are getting a Honda accord hybrid.
