Every Ford product I have owned has turned into a basket case, from a faulty fuel pump that burned my truck to the ground to electrical gremlins in a Lincoln that was barely two, and of course, failed Lincoln air suspension. I had a Lincoln that cost about half of a Mercedes that was older, yet the Lincoln cost more than the Mercedes and its maintenance, though it was a couple of years newer when I parted ways with the Lincoln after it was totaled while parked.

@Mattbennet So true, and the acquisition cost has been increasing with every model year, such that they're not always the greatest values, since everything is an options package.
