My parents neighbor had one under a tarp in his back yard. The paint was in rough shape but no rust and no parts were missing. One day the car was gone. Turned out someone broke through the fence, loaded it up on a trailer, and the car was never seen again.

@Kwek00 I know. I don't remember the exact model. Might have been the 150 two door, but I'm pretty sure it was the Bel-Air coup because of the trim. Even the original interior was all there. Aged and dusty, but all there.

Very beautiful. I had a 4 door 1957 Chevrolet when I was in my teens and 20s.

@Kwek00 I ended up giving it to my dad. It was his fathers car. I bought it when he was in the nursing home and wouldn鈥檛 be driving any more.

@Exhibiter100000 That's a nice thing to do... Your dad is a lucky bastard too.

As I said in this story, these things aren't "normal" here. So for me it's like an image from an American movie come to life. I love these models, but I've never seen or touched one. Poor guys' breaks weren't functioning well, but it made my day.

It looks good, but I think the engineering standard left a lot to be desired ...
Kwek0041-45, M
@ozgirl512 I have no idea... I never driven anny of these.

And you don't see models like this in Belgium a lot. It's pretty exotic for where I live, I only know these from the pictures, the movies or a museum that randomly has one.

@Kwek00 same for here...

Beautiful... that was the dream car for every kid in my high school. (Corvettes were fantasyland.)

My Grandfather had one it was awesome!

@BackyardShaman I'm not a car lover... But I'm glad it was still there after the grocery shopping was done. Had a talk with the owner, and was able to look at the dashboard. Poor guys breaks aren't functioning well so they are going to do some first aid or towing soon.

Sadly, I have no picture device, or I would put some pictures up. But the colour scheme is the same and and it was quite polished inside and out. Sad for the breaks.
