Does the boat

I seen a picture of a boat on Instagram. this guy had 6 engines on the back of this boat. I don't know anything about boat engines. But I am curious would this really change the boat speed.

Too many engines would or could cause more drag. But the more engines the less the others have to work to move the boat onto plane
