You Ever Ride Out a Big Storm on a Small Boat?

One of those Edmund Fitzgerald situations..!

I was duck hunting in a 16' aluminum boat wedged in a cat tail marsh during the storm that the Fitzgerald went down in. I was some miles distant but the ducks were surely flying and decoying. One of those days you remember.

I was 11 years old when she went down. My uncles cottage is about 50 miles from where she sank and I remember seeing the debris and trees uprooted from that storm. It was a sad day.
No, although it's sometimes seemed like it.

Once had the coast guard get on the PA system onboard their cutter to tell me to head back in.

@Mamapolo2016 only metaphorically.. but my dad used to talk about riding out storms in the Aleutians during WWII.
@GerOttman That sounds like an experience that makes for a great story.
