Advanced compass for survival

Here´s another excellent and advanced compass also entirely in metal, It it weighs a little less than the previous one, 183 grams. It is a Survival Compass, Waterproof Navigation Compass, Outdoor Camping Hunting Tactical Luminous Compass. I have never seen a compass like this before and also here the compass ring itself glows in green fluorescent light in twilights and darkness. A small bag to carry the compass in was included.

My father instilled in me the idea of always carrying one.

Of course, lack of cell phone juice would be an issue but free.

@Punxi Its always good to carry a small compass in your pocket or backpack in case you loose your way, follow a specific goal or whatever it is. Ofcourse there is a compass in your cellphone but dont rely that one so much.

Nice but I prefer the Silva baseplate compasses, I trust the bearing much more on those

@BlobbyMcBlobface Do you have any pic of it?
BlobbyMcBlobface · 100+, M
@Mathias I use this one, the Silva Expedition

@BlobbyMcBlobface That compass I have seen before when people run in the woods following certain tracks. You also use this compass to take out a point on a seamap or a roadmap then you can turn the compass head until the lines within the head goes vertically along with the lines on the map. There is videos on YT how they do that. Many many years ago when I went in school we learned us how to use this compass...I still know how to turn the compass head so that the lines goes vertically with the lines on the map but the rest I have forgotten but as I said there is vids on YouTube how to do.

I prefer my type 27. Had it forever.

I use to have one similar to that in Boy Scouts.
