If I get an e-bike, should I also consider buying body armor meant for motorcyclists?

I live in an area where there's so many crazy drivers, that even with my helmet and pads (knee, elbow, wrist), I still don't quite feel safe. I'd go for armor that protects the chest, abdomen, back, and shoulders. Extending to the limbs are great, but it'll be too expensive and not practical during the spring and summer.

Take your bike to an area that is bicycle friendly instead of riding it on the road, if that's possible.
@Thevy29 i usually do, but sometimes i can't

@uikakarotuevegeta I used to ride my bicycle every where (no car) and there was this one stretch of the road where it split. I could either go straight up to where I didn't want to go or go right. Leaving a large part of that curve where I was exposed to cars. I had been knocked off by cars 3 times. None of them stopped. So I rode on the right side of that part of road from then on. And wouldn't you know it, those cops would always catch me... Strange how they weren't around when I got knocked off... Always protect yourself when on your bike is what I'm saying.
@Thevy29 3 times? Did you end up going to the hospital?

@uikakarotuevegeta Once, the other times I sustained gravel rash and a few scrapes I mended myself.
